CyberPeace is involved in Policy Advocacy, Research, and Training related to all aspects of CyberPeace and Cybersecurity.
Ranchi Cyclothon is an annual event organised by the Bicycle Mayor of Ranchi to celebrate the essence of cycling and inspire people to take it as part of their everyday lives.
This year was the 5th season of the event and was organised on Sunday 25th February 2024 to celebrate the essence of cycling and the end of winter.
Ranchi Cyclothon has 3 categories this time.
1. 25 KM - MTB / Hybrid
2. 50 Km - MTB / Hybrid
3. 50 Km - Road Bike
In an age where information is abundant but misinformation is rampant, combating misinformation and promoting truth has become more critical than ever. To raise awareness about the dangers of misinformation and the importance of fact-checking, we are organizing this event. This unique event combines the spirit of community engagement with the power of physical activity, aiming to pedal our way towards a more informed and truth-driven society.
25 KM on MTB/ Hybrid Bicycle Category
Harsh Ravindran won this category for riding a distance of 25 KM in 57 min 22 sec. Ashish Kujur completed the distance in 59 min 22 sec and came second in the category while Oxygen came third. He completed the challenge in 59 min 22 Sec. Nisha Minz was declared the winner among women participants in this category. She completed the distance in 1 hr 8 min 15 sec.
50 KM on MTB/ Hybrid Bicycle Category
Partha Pratim Debnath won the 50 KM Category in the MTB/ Hybrid bicycle category. He completed the distance in 2 hr 10 min 20 sec. Akshat Bharadwaj came second and he completed the distance in 2 hr 19 Min 36 Sec while Diwakar Kumar came third and he completed the distance of 50 KM in 2 hr 22 min 20 sec. Vandana Khemka was the winner among female riders in this category and she completed the distance in 2 hr 34 min 59 sec.
50 KM Road Bicycle Category
Sutatwa from Daltanganj won the category. He rode the distance of 50 KM in 1 hr 38 min 44 sec. Avneet Singh Babrah of Jamshedpur came a close second and he completed the ride in 1 hr 43 min 49 sec. Dula Hansdah of Jamshedpur came third in this category wherein he rode the distance of 50 KM in 1 hr 51 min 36 Sec.

Just like Marthons is for a runner, cyclothon is for a cyclists. It isn't a race but everyone who completes the circuit is a winner and gets a finishers medal and certificate, However, the one who is fastest gets a trophy as well.

Ranchi Cyclothon has 3 categories this time.

The route will be shared only with participants post registration.
The last date for registration is 20th February 2024 and the total participant is limited to 100 cyclists. So whichever is earlier becomes the deadline.
Further - we request you to kindly register at your earliest as it helps us to plan the event in a much better way.
The winner gets a trophy along with the finisher's medal and certificate. The winner will be declared in each category and for both male and female riders individually.
The event will start and end at Morabadi Ground, Ranchi. The exact location will be shared in due course with registered participants.
The helmet is mandatory for every rider. It is for your own safety and any rider riding without the helmet will be deemed disqualified.
